Kim Kingston
Lowered her handicap from 14 to 9.4 over the last year and a half. Karen is currently Club Champion at two golf courses and has shot a course record of 69 twice. We worked on eliminated the shanking and inconsistent ball-flight from Kims game.
Bill Kingston
Dropped nearly 5 shots off handicap from 16.2 to 11.9. Bill began taking lessons after he witnessed the progress of his wife Kim.
“I got sick of her beating me so I had to do something.”
Controlling Bills hook and converting the 3 – 8 foot putts are the areas we focused on. Bill has a goal of becoming an 8 hdcp. for the beginning next year, and boasts that he has won his last three matches with Kim!
Bunny Lukas
Bunny has been playing less than one year and shot a career low round of 60 for nine holes with three penalty strokes. This outclassed her previous best score of 73 by 13 shots. Bunny credits her scoring improvements by reducing three and four putts and increasing her distance off the tee. Bunny has expectation of shooting in the low 50s before the snow comes.
Update…Bunny just shot 52 on 8.06.04
Dennis Lukas
Dennis actually started golf a few years ago only to quit out of frustration. After watching his wife bunny enjoy her lesson and making progress with her game, Dennis decided to give the game a try again. Dennis now shoots consistently in the high 50s and they just bought a membership out in Colorado so they can play golf year round. Dennis and Bunny are completely addicted to golf and are able to enjoy their golfing experience together.
Update Dennis just shot 107 from the whites at E. Griffith Harris golf course on 8.22.04
Roland DeSilva
Went from a 24 handicap to a 16 and shot career low round of 83 twice. Improved fundamental have changed an uncontrollable driver into a more predictable flight. We virtually eliminated the dreaded shank from his game immediately saving 3 to 4 shots per round. Roland has also claimed distanced increases of 20 – 40 yards and has his sites set on the 70s.
David Pastore
Qualified for the regional drive, pitch and putt contest with a drive of 261 yards!! David also plays in the Metropolitan Junior tournaments were he had a two wins and several top five finishes. David is 11 years of age! Great job Dave.
Ken Racco
Past the USGTF golf professionals playability test with a 84-82 at Grossingers Golf Course. Ken was hitting wild pulls left due to an out to in/over the top swing path. We worked on getting his downswing in the slot for an in to out path. Ken is now qualified to study under a Class A PGA Professional and learn to teach golf.
Richard Labella
Broke 90 for the first time with an 87 at Longshore Country Club. Richardss previous best score was 94 and credits his success with reducing the slice and shanks.
Walter Zdrodowski
Walter has been playing golf for two years, and during his first season he never shot lower than 110. Year two, after taking a lesson series from Jon Cote, Walter is shooting in the high 80s with a low round of 87. Wow! Walter attributes his improvement to a structured practice routine, reducing the slice and eliminating his fat shots.
Mike Tetreau
Mike was shooting in the high 90s to low 100s in 2003. After a series of with Jon Cote, Mike not only broke 90 for the first time, but he is shooting consistently in the high 80s. Mike contributes his success the elimination of his slice and a consistent short game.
Update…Mike shot 82 at Grassy Hill golf course. Great job Mike.
Hilary Miller
Dropped Hdcp. From 47 to 32 in 2003 and 32 to 26 in 2004. Recently, Hilary went on vacation and played four courses he never played before and shot: 109, 102, 105, 98. Hilary was hitting a fade one time and a hook another, so we needed to establish a ball-flight that would have a draw shape. This draw increased Hilarys distance and gave him a predictable ball-flight. Hilary is one of Cote Golf Instructions Gold members and is setting his sites on the low 90s.
Joe Curreri
Dropped his handicap from 20 to 16 in 2003, and from 16 to 13 in 2004. Joe credits his improvement to increased driving distance and sharpened wedge game inside 100 yards.
Mike lubell
Usually shoots in the mid 90s but after a lesson series with Jon Cote Mikes last three rounds have been 85,82,79. We eliminated Mikes tendency to hit behind the ball/fat shot and improved his short chip shot. Mike is reseting his goals and targeting the 70s.
John Strong
Broke 80 for the first time in his golfing career after one lesson with Jon Cote. Reducing Johns slice cut 5 shots off his score.
